O Human Star by blue delliquanti

In short: A queer family drama with robots, and my favorite webcomic ever.

Private I by emily Willis and Ann Uland

In short: An old-school detective story set in Pittsburgh in the 1940s, starring (obvi) a queer detective.

With Great Abandon by E.H.

Macmillan

In short: A contemporary gay trans romance set in London. Either way, once you venture into the world of webcomics, you’re not gong to want to leave. In addition to baseball, football, basketball, and hockey, The Outfield also takes a swing at golf, cricket, tennis, rugby, archery, the Olympics, soccer, and a host of other wholesome athletic endeavors.

While all content is suitable for ages 18+, our focus is on fandoms, storytelling, themes, and experiences meant for an older demographic. There are so many amazing queer webcomics out there. And if, like me, you’re relatively new to webcomics, here’s a great beginner’s guide to reading webcomicsto help you navigate this weird and wonderful world.

The Tea Dragon Society by katie o’neill

In short: Queer magic, friendship, tea dragons, a celebration of homemade crafts and rituals, and beautiful, beautiful art.

Check, Please! by Ngozi Ukazu

In short: Hilarious and poignant depictions of college life, hockey bros who aren’t assholes (AT ALL!), pies and sports, sweet male friendships, and one of my favorite (and one of the funniest) coming out scenes ever. I like a meaty story arc, so I usually wait for a collected edition to come out rather than reading a series in small chunks.

It's how the internet used to be. This is the book for you.

Finding Home by hari

In short: Two friends (one human, one not) on a long journey through a beautiful magical kingdom, slow romance, great dialogue, lush and stunning artwork, and the most extraordinary hair I’ve ever seen in comics. Here are twelve of my favorite queer webcomics.

pivot by jamie dear

In short: Gay girls play softball (and maybe fall in love)!
